Introduction to WiFi alliance certification
Wi Fi Alliance (full name: International Wi Fi alliance), English: Wi Fi Alliance (WFA), is a business alliance with Wi Fi trademark. It is responsible for Wi Fi certification and trademark licensing, headquartered in Austin, Texas.
Founded in 1999, the main purpose is to promote the compatibility certification of Wi Fi products worldwide and develop IEEE802 11 standard WLAN technology. The alliance has more than 200 member units, 42% of which are from the Asia Pacific region and 5 members in China.
In 1999, in order to promote the formulation of IEEE 802.11b specification, the wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) was formed.
In October 2002, it was renamed Wi Fi alliance.
In 2013, the Wi Fi alliance recently announced that it would merge with the wireless Gigabit Alliance (wigig), so as to integrate the latter's technology. The merger is expected to be completed in mid-2013, when planning and due diligence have been completed.

Introduction to WiFi alliance certification
Wi Fi refers to "wireless compatibility certification" in the category of wireless LAN, which is not only a commercial certification, but also a wireless networking technology. In the past, computers and wireless routers were connected through network cables, so WiFi connection can be used for networking in the effective range of radio wave coverage of this wireless router, If the wireless router is connected to an ADSL line or other Internet line, it is also called "hot spot".
A growing non-profit international organization composed of more than 300 member companies, with 10 independent testing laboratories in 6 countries.
As an industry and technology leader in WLAN field, it provides test certification for the world.
Maintain a good cooperative relationship with the whole industrial chain, and its members cover manufacturers, standardization institutions, regulatory units, service providers and operators.
Wi Fi certified certification realizes WLAN technology interoperability and provides excellent user experience; More than 3000 products have passed the certification.
In 1999, several members of the Wi Fi industry joined hands to create a global non-profit organization to promote the adoption of a worldwide standard for high-speed WLAN. The organization name is the Wi Fi alliance.
Because the continuous expansion of Wi Fi network is based on many enterprises, families and public hotspots that provide people with wireless internet access anytime and anywhere, compatibility is very important. The Wi Fi alliance formulates global specifications and follows them through strict testing of wireless devices and Wi Fi certification.
The large-scale commercial application of Wi Fi is a rare successful precedent in the world. The problem is concentrated the following two aspects: the first mock exam is not accepted by the big operators: two, there is no effective business mode in itself. However, WLAN based on Wi Fi technology has become more and more popular. This will mean a very convenient application in the future.
Once there is a public place of Wi Fi network, the problems of interconnection, high charge and roaming of operators are solved, and Wi Fi will be transformed from a successful technology into a successful business in the future. Many operators have been involved in this field, and many governments and cities use this technology to build wireless countries and cities. With the popularity of digital entertainment devices, Wi Fi is becoming more and more popular among players. According to the information provided by D-Link and other manufacturers, the sales of wireless routers have increased by a large margin in the past year.
For public wireless LAN, in Europe, only BT announced that it had built 500000 waste heat zones in Britain. Att in the United States continued to make efforts in the Wi-Fi market. Through the deployment of 25000 new Wi Fi hot zones in most parts of Europe and China, it is intended to provide more convenient and extensive WiFi access for business pioneers, remote employees and mobile users. In this way, The total number of ATT Wi Fi hot areas worldwide will reach 125000.
To date, the Wi Fi alliance has certified the interoperability of more than 2800 products. However, for the Wi Fi alliance, there is more work beyond interoperability, making every effort to provide Wi Fi users with the information they need to make decisions about the existing Wi Fi system. Whether you are a technology savvy it director, a security conscious information officer, or a home user attracted by the potential value of Wi Fi, the goal of Wi Fi alliance is to provide you with the information you need to use our products, so that you can be confident and assured.
WiFi alliance certification mark

For the Wi Fi alliance certification project to be launched at the end of June 2007, version 2.0 of the 802.11n standard draft with the eye-catching new logo of Wi Fi certified will soon enter the market. Wi Fi alliance specially launched a new logo designed for Wi Fi certified 802.11n draft version 2.0 products, and announced relevant products with interoperability certification test platform and their reference designs.
Compared with traditional Wi Fi products, the product performance based on the new 802.11n draft version 2.0 standard can provide five times the data traffic and twice the network coverage.
Consumers will soon be able to use applications and products with rich content and covering the whole family, such as smooth high-resolution video, multi-user online games in the same network, and high-speed transmission of photos, music and other types of files. Enterprise users can use 802.11n products to enhance network performance and improve network stability.
