The EU Commodity Safety Regulations came into effect on July 16. The new EU Commodity Safety Regulation - "Market Regulation (EU) 2019/1020" requires that all CE-marked products must have a European representative located in the EU (except the UK) as a commodity Compliance contact (hereinafter referred to as "responsible person"). With the exception of medical devices, ropeway installations, civilian explosives, hot water boilers and lifts, all CE marked goods are subject to this regulation. Products sold within the UK are not subject to this regulation.
1.1. How can companies confirm whether they need to comply with the new regulations for CE-labeled products?
The first thing to confirm is whether the goods you want to sell in the European Economic Area need CE marking?

1.2. If the goods you sell are CE marked and manufactured outside the EU, you need to ensure that such goods have a responsible person located in the EU (except the UK) before July 16, 2021. Otherwise, after July 16, 2021, it will be considered an offence if you sell CE-marked goods without the information of the person in charge of compliance.
1.3. Dear European sellers, before July 16, 2021, you need to ensure that your CE-marked products have the contact information of the person in charge. Such labels can be affixed to merchandise, merchandise packaging, packages, or accompanying documents.
