Huawei SuperCharge certification has a high document bar – missing one file can cost weeks. Here’s a full breakdown.

Prerequisite: The unified entry for SuperCharge fast‑charge access is Huawei’s Device Partner Digital Energy Platform – not the Developer Alliance. You cannot even see the channel until the ecosystem framework agreement is signed.

1. Corporate Qualification and Authorisation

1.1 Ecosystem Framework Agreement

Corporate‑level agreement covering Huawei fast‑charge technology licensing and SDK usage. If the parent company signed it, subsidiaries can use it with an affiliate authorisation letter – it’s not true that subsidiaries can never reuse. Terms are individually negotiated.

1.2 Product‑Specific Certification Application

Each model separately – product name, model number, supported protocols (SCP/FCP), power tiers with voltages/currents. Protocol version must include the sub‑version number.

1.3 Brand Authorisation and Manufacturing Authorisation

If the nameplate carries a third‑party brand – brand authorisation required. If you own the brand but outsource production – the brand owner must issue manufacturing authorisation. Only own‑factory self‑developed products are exempt.

2.3 Firmware Version Statement and Change Log

Firmware must be mass‑production stable. Submit version number and change log to prove the submitted version is the final shipping version. In 2026, Huawei tightened verification of self‑test data – labs will cross‑check self‑test results with the submitted firmware. Falsification leads to application suspension and revocation of existing SuperCharge certificates.

3.3 Cable and Accessory Data

All submitted cables must include specification sheets and impedance data – original cables included. Original cables can have simplified documentation, but full exemption is not allowed. High impedance will directly cause fast‑charge handshake failure → product fails.

  4. Operational Pitfalls That Cause Rejection

·Multi‑port chargers with the same power management IC and same source port: do not need full fast‑charge test cases per port – only multi‑port parallel load coordination testing. “Every port full independent suite” is over‑interpretation.

·12V/24V dual‑voltage testing for car chargers: not a SuperCharge mandatory requirement – that’s an OEM customer add‑on. Don’t treat it as a certification threshold.

·Nameplate labelling: SCP/FCP rated output power must be clearly marked. QC, PD (third‑party protocols) are not required to be separately listed – some online advice over‑complicates this.

·Change notification: only charging IC, power MOSFET, and RF core‑component changes require prior notification. Minor resistor/capacitor, housing, cable cosmetic tweaks do not. The “all parts changes need prior approval” claim is false.

5.2 Certificate Validity and Renewal

SuperCharge official certificates are valid for 2 years – you must proactively renew. “Indefinitely valid” or “only report changes” does not apply. Using the mark after expiry is a violation.

5.3 Production Line Quality Control Plan

Quality documentation must be retained for ongoing compliance after certification – but it is not required at the application stage.
